California-based acoustic songwriter, Rebecca Vine is artsy to the core. Whether she's painting, singing, writing or playing guitar, Rebecca exudes passionate creativity with a distinctive calm energy. A long-time nanny and art teacher, Rebecca sites children as one her biggest influences, "Helping raise children has been, by far, the most challenging and rewarding experience in my life. I've always encouraged kids to do what they love, and writing music is my 'thing'... so all of my nanny-kids hold me accountable. I love that."
Although born in Anchorage, AK, Rebecca spent the majority of her early life in Santa Cruz, CA, until moving to Nashville on her own at the age of 20. With musical roots on both sides of her family, it is no surprise that she grew to become the talented artist that she is. Rebecca began taking voice lessons at 13 at her mother’s suggestion which eventually spurred her interest in guitar and songwriting. She considers her move to Nashville her greatest accomplishment to date. “Being surrounded by music, co-writing with amazing people, recording with creative geniuses, developing meaningful relationships and communicating real life issues through songs... That was the dream for me, and I did it for 8 years. Somehow, it's become even more real since I moved back to California.”
With such a powerful yet sweet voice and the ever present flower in her hair, Rebecca Vine is not only sharing her music but sharing her heart with others. “God has given me an ability to comfort and heal through music and I don't want to sit on the sidelines… no one has to have it all figured out in order to be used by God. I believe when we are willing, he is able."
